As I got more involved, creating the pieces, I was able to build something that allowed me to touch and see something similar to my own body. We don't have that habit of looking at ourselves, It allows us to become more aware of our own anatomy.

A toy representing something sexual. Allegorically, it's very subtle, it leads the imagination through touch and invites us to think beyond what we traditionally perceive as sexual. "La Maquila" prompts you to have conversations you don't always dare to. It has become a community. Women performing magic with textiles, as it has always been done but in a contemporary and surreal way.
